1957 Pendrell Street was on the north side of Pendrell Street, between Gilford Street and Chilco Street.
Legal Description: District Lot 185, Block 70, Lot 29.
The 1912 Vancouver fire insurance atlas did not show any buildings on Lot 29.
It appears that the house on this lot was originally at 1940 Beach Avenue until the City of Vancouver acquired the property in 1913.
Arthur Henry Bradbury became the owner of the house at 1940 Beach Avenue (but not the land on which it stood). On April 29, 1914, Mr. Bradbury obtained a permit to move the two-storey frame residence from 1940 Beach Avenue to 1957 Pendrell Street.
Frederick William Gosse (1883-1968) was the house mover. (The 1938 photograph below shows F.W. Gosse’s firm moving a building to the Vancouver Exhibition grounds.)
This copy of the 1913 Vancouver fire insurance map includes a later overlay that shows the house at 1957 Pendrell Street.
There are two references to this property in Heritage Vancouver Society’s database of historic building permits: http://permits.heritagevancouver.org/index.php?cID=1 [searched April 24, 2019].

The house was still standing in 1968.
By 1969, the house was demolished. The lot was part of the site of the Belmac apartment building, which had an address of 1947 Pendrell Street. Further information appears on the page for 1947 Pendrell Street.
