In 1930, Valerie was in Seattle, Washington.

She died in Seattle on July 23, 1931.

John and Valerie had the following children,

Laurenza Dumoulin

Laurenza Dumoulin was born in Quebec about 1871.

On March 8, 1886, in Marinette, Wisconsin, she married Emil Carriere. He was born in Canada about 1860.

In 1900, Laurenza and Emil were in Iron Mountain City in Michigan.

By 1930, Laurenza was living in Akron, Ohio. She was married to John M. Mayer, who was a carpenter in a power plant. He was born in Minnesota in 1872.

Laurenza and John were in Akron in 1940.

They later lived in Snohomish County, Washington.

Laurenza died in Sedro Woolley, Washington on February 14, 1958. She was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.

John died in Snohomish on February 4, 1958. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, Washington.

Alonzo Samuel Dumoulin

Alonzo Samuel Dumoulin was born on September 1, 1874 in Hull, Quebec.

In 1906, he was working as a saw filer in Owen Sound, Ontario.

On May 30, 1906, in Owen Sound, he married Olive Marie Johnson (or Johnston). She was born in Mooresburg, near Chesley, Ontario on September 29, 1886. Her parents were Thomas Johnston and Elizabeth McMullen.

Alonzo worked as a saw filer for Weyerhaeuser Lumber Company.

He died in Everett, Washington on October 14, 1928. He was buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Everett.

In 1933, Olive declared her intention to become a naturalized United States citizen. In 1939, she filed her petition for naturalization.

In 1940, Olive was living in Everett, Washington.

Jewel (Julia) Evelyn Dumoulin

Jewel (Julia) Evelyn Dumoulin was born in Canada on February 25, 1878.

On January 6, 1904, in Marintette, Wisconsin, she married William Franklin Barnes Jr.

In 1920, William and Julia were in North Scio, Linn, Oregon.

William died in California in 1927.

Julia later lived in Gardena, California.

She died in Modesto, California on July 3, 1959.

Joseph Louis DuMoulin

Joseph Louis DuMoulin was born in Wisconsin on June 27, 1881.

During the First World War he registered with the United States military draft system. He was working as a mechanic with Skinner and Eddy in Seattle, Washington. He was married to Ginie Anna Du Moulin, and they were living at 802 North 49th Street in Seattle.

In the 1920 United States census, he was living in Seattle, and married to Virginia. He was unemployed.

Joseph’s marriage ended in divorce, probably before 1928. (On July 31, 1928, in Whatcom County, Genee Dumoulin married Frederick J. Toyer. Although it is not certain, Genee may have been Joseph’s former wife.)

In 1930, Joseph was living in Seattle, and working as a laborer. He was divorced. His mother was living with him.

He later worked as a janitor.

It appears that he did not re-marry.

He died in Seattle on June 15, 1931. He was buried in Calvary Cemetery in Seattle.

She had a brother who was a Female impersonator, his name was Alfonse or Alphonse. Her mother’s maiden name was FAIRBANKS. She eloped with a man named BARNES, and apparently never saw the DUMOULINS again, for they did not approve. Sometime they moved to the US, and BARNES died circa 1930. Jewel and her husband had four kids, Blanche, Edgar, Fairbanks and Jewel Evelyn. The latter is my grandmother. I would appreciate any info on the family lineage, or contact info for living relations.
