Richard Edward Reese was a broker and bookkeeper. He lived at 1853 Alberni Street from 1918 to 1921.

Richard Edward Reese was born on November 27, 1851, in Newton, Wales. His parents were David Reese and Matilda Jones.

In 1881, in Walsall, Staffordshire, Richard married Ellen Elizabeth Palmer. She was born on October 3, 1853. Her father was Thomas Palmer. Her mother may have been Emma Yardley.

In the 1880s, Richard and Ellen moved to Ontario, where Richard began working with the Canadian Pacific Railway.

In 1910, Richard was a grain broker.

About 1914, the family moved to Vancouver. Richard first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1915. He was living at 1575 West Broadway, and he was with Foley and Company.

Ellen died in Vancouver on November 9, 1923. She was buried in Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Richard died in Vancouver on September 28, 1926. He was buried in Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby.

Frank Reese

He died in infancy. No further information is available for him.

 

Richard David Thomas Reese

Richard David Thomas Reese was born in Port Arthur, Ontario, on May 28, 1885.

In 1901 he was living with his parents in Fort William, Ontario.

About 1914 he moved to Seattle, Washington, where he was a railway switchman

He was married to Katie. (She may have been Katherine Hackl, and she may have died in Seattle on May 4, 1946.)

 

 

Albert Edward Reese

Albert Edward Reese was born on October 17, 1887, in Wolverhampton, England.

In 1891 and 1901 he was living with his parents.

When he registered with the United States military draft system he was living in Superior, Wisconsin, and working as a railroad switch foreman.

It appears that he died on January 27, 1941, and that he was buried in Nemadji Cemetery in Superior, Wisconsin.

 

Ellen Matilda Reese

Ellen Matilda Reese was born in August 14, 1889, in Nuburg, Thunder Bay, Ontario.

On June 6, 1910, in Fort William, Ontario, she married George Timothy Foley, a lumberman whose usual residence was St. Paul, Minnesota. He was born in Fargo, North Dakota, on June 27, 1886 (or 1885). His father was George Richard Foley (1848-1926), who was a railway contractor. His mother was Octavie deLendrecie (1847-1930).

When George registered with the United States 1917-1918 military draft, he was living at number 401 Sylvia Court (1154 Gilford Street) in Vancouver.

George and Ellen were divorced in the early 1930s. In 1942, George was living at 549 North Hart Avenue in Temple City, California. George died in Los Angeles on June 3, 1964.

On November 8, 1933, in Seattle, Ellen married Frank Earl McPherren. He was born in Illinois on February 10, 1881.

Ellen was living in Long Beach, California, in 1956 (probably with Frank).

Frank died in Orange County, California on February 23, 1962.
