George Wesley Ribchester was born in Preston, Lancashire, England on October 14, 1860. His parents were John Salt Ribchester (1833-1903) and Hanna Wesley (1833-1878). John Ribchester was a coach builder.
From 1861 to 1881, George lived with his parents in Preston.
In 1884, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, George married Jane Thackeray. She was born in March 1855 in West Broughton, Lancashire.
In 1891, George and Jane were in Bradwell, Buckinghamshire. George was a railway coach body maker.
Jane died on March 10, 1893, in Wolverton, Buckinghamshire.
In 1897, in Chorlton, Lancashire, George married Elizabeth Ann Wright. She was born in England on December 6, 1861.
In 1901, George and Elizabeth were in Preston, Lancashire.
From 1906 to 1916, the Ribchesters were in Edmonton, Alberta. George operated a blacksmith and carriage-building business.

George first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1919. He was living at 1253 Howe Street, and his business was called “Auto Body Builders.”
From 1919 to 1944, George lived at the following addresses in Vancouver.

In 1919, the Automobile Body Builders firm received a loan of $1500 from the provincial government.
Part of the business of “Auto Body Builders” was repairing damaged cars.

About 1927, George retired from the auto body business.
The “Happier Old Age Club”
In the late 1930s, George and Elizabeth became associated with the “Happier Old Age Club.” The purpose of the club was to improve the health and general well-being of older people.
George and Elizabeth attended the group’s first picnic in 1938.
News of the club’s activities appeared in many places, sometimes as far as the eastern and southern United States.
The club was still active in 1954. It is not clear how long it continued after that.
George and Elizabeth: Later Years
George and Elizabeth spent their final years in Vancouver.
George died in Vancouver on May 14, 1945. He was buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Burnaby, British Columbia.
Elizabeth died in Vancouver on March 19, 1949. She was buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Burnaby.

Edith Agnes Ribchester
Edith Agnes Ribchester was born in 1886 in Corner-Pin, Buckinghamshire, England.
In 1891, she was living in Buckinghamshire.
It appears that she later worked as a general household servant.
In 1914, she married John Thackeray.
Although one source indicates that Edith died in 1957, there is a probate record for an Edith Agnes Thackeray who died on January 6, 1973.

In 1916, in Barrow In Furness, Lancashire, he married Dora Gardiner. She was born in Hartlepool East, Durham, England on October 9, 1893. Her parents were Robert Scott Gardiner (1860–1918) and Maria Beckett (1862–1951).
Addison and Dora sailed from Liverpool, England to Quebec City, Canada in June 1919. They were on their way to Edmonton.

In 1901 she was living with her parents in Preston, Lancashire.
In 1906 and 1911, she was with her parents in Edmonton, Alberta.
In 1914, in Edmonton, she married Frederick John Hillyer.
In 1921, she and Frederick were in Edmonton.
They later lived in British Columbia, where Frederick worked as a machinist.
Frederick died in Burnaby, British Columbia on February 2, 1963.
Jane (Grace) died on November 14, 1978. She was buried in Cardston Cemetery in Cardston, Alberta.

George was born on January 29, 1891 in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire.

Frank Lawrence Ribchester was born in 1892 in Corner-Pin, Buckinghamshire, England
He died on March 12, 1893.
Elise Valeska Wesley Ribchester
Elise Valeska Wesley Ribchester as born in Chorlton, Lancashire, England on September 9, 1898.
