Los Angeles is a very fine city indeed. The city is preparing to spend twenty million dollars in the development of a water system. A canal will be built from away up in the Nevada Mountains, two hundred miles away, and the water will be sold for irrigation purposes on the way down as well as for the purposes of the city itself.’”
