Editorial is in middle of column 2]: “Another death at the week-end of a prominent K.C. was that of S.S. Taylor. He belonged to the B.C. court era of 40 years ago, when E.P. Davis, E.V. Bodwell, Sir Charles Hibbert Tupper and Lyman P. Duff were leading counsel, and he appeared in many important cases. Taylor came here from Nelson, where he conducted lengthy litigation for Byron White and other owners of the Slocan Star mine, then at the height of production n the silver-lead boom. Mr. Taylor was quite at home in complicated business-deal litigation, and later made his mark in Los Angeles, after becoming a member of the California bar. He lived for a time in the Island of Guernsey, but returned to Los Angeles before war broke out.”
