William and Mary had the following children.

Vilda Estelle Thornton

Vilda Estelle Thornton was born in West Oxford Township, Oxford, Ontario, on July 7, 1888.

She lived with her parents until about 1911.

On November 15, 1911, in Vancouver, she married Andrew Gage Jones, who was a real estate agent. He was born in Barton Township, near Hamilton, Ontario on July 10, 1882. His parents were Nathaniel “Thomas” Jones and Elizabeth Ann Gage.

In 1926, Andrew moved to the United States. Vilda and Andrew lived in California from the 1920s to the early 1940s.

In 1941, Andrew filed a declaration of intention to become a United States citizen. (At the time, he was working as a map salesman.)

Andrew died in Los Angeles, California on August 26, 1943.

Vilda also married Gilbert Edward McLaren. He was born in London, Ontario on August 23, 1883. His parents were James McLaren and Anne Maria Barnes.

Gilbert worked as a customs collector until he retired in 1948. He died in West Vancouver, British Columbia on August 14, 1967.

Graham registered with the United States military draft system during the First and Second World Wars.

It appears that Graham was still living in the mid-1950s. (He did not appear in his mother’s death notice in 1958, so he may have died by that time.)
