Claude Higginson Waters was a real estate broker, insurance agent, post office worker, mining broker and trade union negotiator. He lived at 913 Denman Street in 1918 and 1919. He later lived at 786 Gilford Street from 1933 to 1966.

Claude Higginson Waters was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on November 17, 1889. His father was Bidwell Amable Waters (1863-1934), who was a broker. Claude’s mother was Emma Dorothy Higginson (1859-1929). (Claude’s actual birth name was Bidwell Claude Higginson Waters, and Claude was sometimes known as Bidwell Waters, Junior.)

In 1901, Claude was living with his parents in Ottawa.

On December 4, 1908, in Ottawa, Claude married Mary Beatrice Mousseau.

In the 1909 Ottawa directory, Claude was living with his father at 157 MacKay Street. Claude was working as a clerk.

On May 1, 1910, in Ottawa, Claude’s wife gave birth to a son, Lionel Wentworth Waters. Lionel died on May 2, 1910.

Bidwell Waters first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1911. He was a promoter, living at 915 Richards Street.

When Claude died in Vancouver on November 21, 1966, he was a widower.

No further information is available for his wife, Beatrice.

Lionel was born in Ottawa on May 1, 1910, in Ottawa. Lionel died on May 2, 1910.

 

Dorothy E. Waters

Dorothy E. Waters was living in Palm Springs, California, in 1966. She was married to Mr. Brans. She may have died in San Diego, California on December 2, 2004. If so, she was born December 20, 1912.
