Mrs. Catherine Alexandrina Stevenson was the widow of John Leslie Stevenson. She lived at 1961 Comox Street in 1913.

Catherine Stevenson was born Catherine Alexandrina Campbell in Scotland on June 18, 1847. Her parents were Colin Campbell and Isabella Mackenzie. Colin Campbell was with the Inland Revenue department; he died on December 16, 1875. Isabella died on November 30, 1878.

On August 11, 1870, Catherine married John Leslie Stevenson, who worked with the Scottish brewing firm of George Younger and Company.

It appears that John died sometime before 1900, and perhaps as early as the 1870s. He did not appear with Catherine in the Scottish census listings for 1881 to 1901.

In 1881, Catherine was a teacher (possibly a piano teacher); in 1891 she was a piano teacher. In 1901 she was operating a boarding house.

In the early 1900s, Catherine went to Shanghai, China, where her son, Colin, was working as an accountant. She later travelled from China to North America, arriving in Vancouver on July 13, 1907, on her way to Portland, Oregon.
