Alfred William Lee was a route agent for the Dominion Express Company. He lived at 2029 Pendrell Street in 1911.
Early Life
Alfred William Lee was born in Southampton, Ontario, on June 2, 1858. His parents were Thomas Lee and Emma Godfrey. (Alfred was sometimes known as “Alfred William Godfrey Lee.”)
About 1885, Alfred began his long career with the Dominion Express Company, which was the original express company of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
From 1891 to 1897, he was with Dominion Express in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Marriage to Margaret Bullock
On December 8, 1897, in Seattle, Washington, Alfred married Margaret Bullock. She was born Margaret Jones in Toronto, Ontario on June 2, 1865. Her parents were John Henry Jones and Margaret Whalen.

In 1900, Alfred and Margaret were in Seattle. Alfred was working as an express agent.
To Vancouver
Alfred first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1903. He was living at 1290 Burrard Street and he was the route agent for Dominion Express.

Until 1921, Alfred was a route agent for Dominion Express. In 1922, he was a Dominion Express inspector.
To Vancouver Island
In 1923, Alfred and Margaret moved to Oak Bay on Vancouver Island. Alfred retired from Dominion Express about 1924.
Alfred died at Oak Bay on July 27, 1925.
Margaret died in Vancouver on December 6, 1931. She was buried in Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.
