On April 22, 1908, in Winnipeg, Ralph married Alberta (or Albertina) Charlotte Ovas. She was born in the rural municipality of Glenwood, Manitoba, on July 8, 1886. Her parents were John A. and Charlotte Ovas.

By 1908, Ralph and Alberta were living at 1218 Denman Street in Vancouver. Ralph was the manager of a Marett and Reid drug store. (Marett and Reid had two stores: one at 208 West Hastings Street, and the other at 1216 Denman Street.)

By 1910, Ralph was the manager of the Royal Drug Company at 1850 Park Drive. He was living at 1763 East Fourth Avenue.

The Vancouver directories later showed him at the following addresses:

1911 to 1915 1823 East Third Avenue
1916 number 2, 1715 Graveley Street
1917 to 1919 1823 East Third Avenue

In 1920, he had moved Cumberland, British Columbia, southwest of Courtney on Vancouver Island, where he operated a drug store.

Ralph and Alberta were living in West Hollywood, California, in the 1940 United States census. Ralph was the owner and manager of an apartment building. In 1942, Ralph registered with the United States draft system. He was the owner of an apartment house at 1236 North Harper Avenue.

In 1946, Ralph travelled to Honolulu on the S.S. Matsonia.

Ralph died in California on October 11, 1951.
