John appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1907. He was living at 1893 Beach Avenue and he was working with the Vancouver Gas Company.
He did not appear in the Vancouver directories after 1907.
In 1908 he travelled to Australia.
He served with the British military forces during the First World War.
It appears that he lived mostly in England for the rest of his life, although he travelled to Canada from time to time.
It appears that he did not marry.
He died in Westminster, London on January 31, 1928.
He was buried in Lambeth, Surrey, England on February 3, 1928.

Capt Clarence Walter Eyre Trelawny, was one of five sons and one daughter, born to Edward Trelawny D.O.B 17 November 1844 at Eastbourne.Died 11 March 1936 at Southsea, and Emma Rosalie nee Andrews,the daughter of Revd.William Clinton Andrews of Postwick. [no D.O.B.] They were married 24th August 1872. Emma Rosalie died in Alexandria 31 October 1908.aged61. Her body was brought back to England and was buried in St Margaret’s churchyard at Ifield, near Crawley, Sussex. Edward Trelawny was buried beside his wife.
Most of Edward’s formative years were spent in the care of his maternal grandparents, the Beaumonts of Bramerton,Norfolk.
Edward was the second son of John Harry Trelawny, who was the third son of Sir William Lewis Trelawny 8th Baronet of Trelawne, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall.
