William Moscrop was a partner in the plumbing firm of Moscrop Brothers. He lived at 1995 Beach Avenue in 1907.

William Moscrop was born in Setmurthy, Cumberland, England on December 18, 1867. His parents were Thomas Moscrop (1835-1912) and Ann Armstrong (1840-1924).

William arrived in Canada about 1890. In the mid-1890s, he worked as a railway fireman

On October 15, 1895, in Vancouver, he married Etta Myrtylla Bish. She was born in Kellersburg,, Pennsylvania, on May 20, 1867. Her parents were Samuel Sylvester Bish (1823–1868) and Helen Steele (1830–1912).

William first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1899. He was a brakeman with the Canadian Pacific Railway.

By 1910, Moscrop Brothers was advertising Stanley Steam automobiles.

In 1920, a competitor in the plumbing and heating business sued William and four other plumbers, claiming that they conspired to deprive him of a heating system contract. The outcome of this case is not available.

William continued to work as a plumber until the late 1920s.

He died in Vancouver on March 17, 1928. He was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.

Etta died in Vancouver on November 18, 1942. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.

According to Washington State records, Helen Moscrop was born in Tacoma, Washington, on June 30, 1896.

No further information is available for her. (She may be the same person as Ethel Moscrop, below.)

 

Ethel Moscrop

According to most sources, Ethel Moscrop was born in British Columbia (probably in Vancouver) on June 3, 1896. (However, see the note on Helen Moscrop, above.)

In 1927, in Castor, Alberta, she married John Lambe (sometimes called “J. Lamb” or “J.A. Lamb”).

In 1928 and 1942, she was living in Consort Alberta.

 

Bernice Moscrop

Bernice Moscrop was born in Vancouver on August 28, 1900.

She did not marry.

She died in Vancouver on July 21, 1942. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.

 

Ronald Moscrop

Ronald Moscrop was born in Vancouver on June 8, 1909.

On May 21, 1927, in Vancouver, he married Edith Pearl Christina Higham. She was born in Haney, British Columbia, on April 23, 1906.

Ronald died in Vancouver on December 23, 1973.

Edith died in New Westminster, British Columbia, on December 23, 1976.
