Thomas W. Trott lived at 1974 Georgia Street in 1916. He had a confectionery business at the same address.

It appears that he was Thomas William Trott, who was born in West Ham, Essex, England, on May 10, 1875.

About 1908, Thomas married Onnie (or Annie) Velma McLaren, who was born on January 26, 1894, in Minnedosa, North Dakota. Her mother was Hattie.

By 1911, Thomas and Onnie were living near Kamloops, British Columbia (possibly at Louis Creek), along with their son, Willliam Edward Trott, and their daughter, Velma Harriet Trott.

Thomas’s and Onnie’s marriage ended in divorce. Onnie later married Charles Ernest Rathbone, who was born on June 20, 1874, in Greenswood County, Kansas. His father was Cornelious Taylor Rathbone. His mother was Abigail Fordyce. Charles died in Tete Jaune, British Columbia, on February 22, 1957. He was buried in Tete Jaune Cemetery. Onnie died on March 16, 1961, in McBride, British Columbia. She was buried in Tete Jaune Cemetery.

In 1912, Thomas and his daughter, Velma, travelled to Ogden, Utah.

In 1916, Thomas was operating a confectionery at 1974 Georgia Street in Vancouver.

In 1916, he travelled to Ogden, intending to live there permanently. His daughter, Velma, was living at 2056 Jefferson Avenue in Ogden.

In 1917, Thomas registered with the United States military draft. He was living in Chiloquin, in Klamath County, Oregon, and he was working as a teamster with Modoc Lumber Company.

By 1930, Thomas was living in Kimshew Judicial Township in Butte County, California. He was a retired logger.

In 1940, Thomas was still living in Kimshew Judicial Township in California. He was a retired logger.

Thomas died in Los Angeles, California, on January 29, 1960.

Thomas and Onnie had the following children.

William Edward Trott

William Edward Trott was born in British Columbia, possibly in or near Kamloops, about 1910.

In 1912, he travelled to Yakima, Washington, with an unknown adult. His nearest relative was his grandmother, Mrs. Hattie McClaren, who lived in Cowley, Alberta.

In 1916, William was living in the Battle River area of Alberta, along with his mother and his step-father, Charles Ernest Rathbone. William was using Rathbone as his surname.

Velma Harriet Trott

Velma Harriet Trott was born in British Columbia, possibly in or near Kamloops, in April 1911. (One source says that she was born in Alberta.)

In 1931, Velma was living in Ogden, Utah. She was working in an office.

On June 20, 1931, in Ogden, she married Henry John Meyers, who was a clerk. He was born on August 27, 1908, in Salt Lake City, Utah. His father was Richard Meyers. His mother was Anna Brushen.

In 1940, Henry and Velma were living in Pasadena, California. Henry was working as a linoleum layer.

Their two-year-old son, Jerry, was living with them. He was born about 1938 in Utah.

Velma became a naturalized United States citizen on July 10, 1942.

Henry registered with the United States military draft on April 8, 1944. The registration took place in Ft. Macarthur, San Pedro, California.
