On October 23, 1911, in Vancouver, Henry married Ella May Badman (sometimes called “May Ella”). She was born in 1887 in Wells, Somerset, England. Her father was Alfred Badman (1849-1902), who was a building contractor. Her mother was Ellen Perry (1853-1927).

It appears that Henry worked at the second Hotel Vancouver after it appeared in 1916.

From 1919 to 1921 he was at the London Grill (752 Robson Street, between Granville Street and Howe Street.)

From 1926 to 1942 he was again at the Hotel Vancouver.

Henry died in Vancouver on December 13, 1942. He was buried in Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.

John B. Poole was born in British Columbia about 1914. In 1921 he was living with his parents in Vancouver.

He received a B.A. degree from the University of British Columbia in 1939.

In 1942 he was living in San Diego, California.

On June 1, 1946, he married Barbara Brittain, the daughter of William Harold Brittain, who was the dean of Macdonald College.
