In 1922, these artifacts went on display in the Main Street store in Winnipeg, and in 1926, they moved into the new store on Portage Avenue. The exhibit was intended to show the history of the Company, and life in the fur trade, as well as the material culture of various Aboriginal peoples in Canada.
