Harry Tozer was an automobile painter with Black Brothers, a Vancouver automobile supply firm. He lived in apartment A, 1180 Denman Street in 1919.

Harry Tozer was born in Bristol, England on June 1, 1881. It appears that his parents were Thomas Tozer and Elizabeth Baker.

In 1901 he was living with his parents in Bristol.

Harry arrived in Canada in May 1904. He landed in Quebec City, and his destination was Winnipeg, Manitoba.

By 1910, Harry had married Isabel Gray. She was born on January 31, 1879, in Berwick on Tweed, Northumberland, England. Her parents were Peter Gray and Helen Chapman.

In 1910, Harry was a coach painter for the C.P.R. in Winnipeg.

In 1918, Harry and Isabel were still in Winnipeg. Harry was a stencil cutter for the C.P.R.

Harry first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1919. He was an automobile painter with Black Brothers, and he lived in apartment A at 1180 Denman Street.

In 1920 and 1921, Harry and Isabel were at 1028 Pacific Street. In 1920, Harry was a painter with Mount Pleasant Automobile and Carriage Works.

In the fall of 1922, Harry and Isabel moved to the United States.

By 1923, Harry was in Los Angeles, California, working as an automobile painter.

In 1924, Harry and Isabel applied to become naturalized United States citizens. They were living at 722 Lucile Avenue in Los Angeles.

Harry died in Los Angeles on May 10, 1951.

In 1952, Isabel was living by herself at 628 North New Hampshire Avenue in Los Angeles.
