Hodge, George Cadenhead (1870-1942)

George Cadenhead Hodge was a salesman for the stockbroker and real estate firm of Studd and Daly. He lived at 1012 Denman Street in 1910 and 1911.

While he was in Nelson, George was the superintendent of the local telephone company.

In 1906, he went to Japan, and returned to British Columbia in July.

He first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1910. He was living at 1012 Denman Street, and was working as a salesman for Studd and Daly, who were stockbrokers and real estate dealers. [The heads of the firm were Edward Arthur Chichester Studd, who lived at 1833 Comox Street in 1911 and Harold Mayne Daly, who lived at 875 Chilco Street from 1911 to 1915.]

In 1912, George and Charlotte moved to apartment number 3 in the Beaconsfield Apartments, at 884 Bute Street in the West End of Vancouver. They lived there the rest of the decade, and through the 1920s and 1930s as well.
