In 1901, James was staying in a boarding house in Goderich.

On April 5, 1905, in Goderich, James married Harriet Emily Robinson. She was born on March 6, 1885, in Clinton, Ontario. Her father was George T. Robinson. Her mother was Fannie Shaw. Before the marriage, Harriet had been living in Ninga, in the Municipality of Turtle Mountain, Manitoba.

In the 1911 Canada census, James and Harriet were living in Regina, Saskatchewan.

In the 1916 Canada census for the Prairie Provinces, James and Harriet were living in Regina, Saskatchewan.

James first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1919. He was a tobacconist, living at 1966 Nelson Street.

In 1920, he and George Robinson (probably his father-in-law) were with the Regina Barber Shop at 134 West Hastings Street. James was living at 1749 Collingwood Street.

In 1921, James was at 3649 West Fifth Avenue. He was the proprietor of Regina Buffet.

In 1922, he had moved to 123 East Sixth Avenue in North Vancouver. He was a barber with George T. Robinson.

In 1922, James went Tacoma, Washington, planning to stay for six months. The United States immigration documents gave his address as 134 East Sixth Avenue in North Vancouver.

On July 22, 1922, Harriet and her father took Harriet’s children to live in the United States. Their contact person was James, who was in Lewiston, Idaho.

By December 1925, James was back in British Columbia. He had become ill, and he went to live in an institution in Essondale, British Columbia.

On June 14, 1928, in Latah, Idaho, Harriet married Frederick Calwell Holbrook. He was born on September 14, 1883, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Frederick had been married to Bessie Martin, but their marriage had ended in divorce.

On December 21, 1932. James Fritzley died in Essondale, British Columbia. He was buried in the institutional cemetery on December 30, 1932.

Frederick Holbrook and Harriet lived in Idaho through the 1930s and 1940s.

Harried died in Moscow, Idaho, on October 11, 1949. She was buried in Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston, Idaho.

Frederick married Adah Snyder on December 8, 1951, in Lewiston.

Frederick died in Idaho on November 4, 1965. He was buried in Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston.
