Thomas Ernest Dudney was the proprietor of the Denman Confectionery and Cigar Store in 1920. His wife, Ethel, was a stenographer with the Mercantile Mortgage Company Limited. They lived at 986 Denman Street in 1920. They were at 743 Denman Street in 1926.

Thomas Ernest Dudney was born in Plumstead, Kent, England, on December 9, 1887. His parents were Henry Dudney ( 1839-1918) and Jane Horsley (1844-1930). Henry Dudney was a cooper (barrel maker).

 

Marriage to Ethel Moore

In the fall of 1916, in Ecclesall Bierlow, Yorkshire, Thomas married Ethel Emily Moore. She was born in Plumstead on September 2, 1890. Her parents were Henry Charles Moore (1867-1937) and Eliza Smith (1865-1953).

 

To Vancouver

In May 1919, Thomas and Ethel travelled to Canada. After they arrived in Vancouver in 1919, Thomas had a series of jobs.

Thomas died in Vancouver on March 1, 1969.

Marion Joan Dudney

Marion Joan Dudney married Kenneth Roy Onions. He was born on July 10, 1917, in Readlyn, Saskatchewan. His parents were  William Onions and Annie Headley. He was an employee of a series of meat-packing companies.

Kenneth died in Vancouver on January 5, 1966. He was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Marion later married Norman Skidmore, who was an upholsterer. He was born in Dundas, Ontario, on January 3, 1910. His parents were Joseph Skidmore and Maria Greenough.

Norman died in Vancouver on April 17, 1977. He was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Burnaby.

Kenneth and Marion had a daughter, Joan Patricia Onions, who died in Vancouver on April 2, 2015.

 

Betty Dudney

Betty Dudney married Harry Merrick. In the 1960s and 1970s, Harry and Betty were living in Vancouver.

Harry died in Burnaby, British Columbia on June 23, 1989.

Betty died in Vancouver on December 22, 2002.

Joyce Irene Dudney

Joyce Irene Dudney was born in Los Angeles, California on October 25, 1924.

She married Albert Hale.

In the 1960s and 1970s, Albert and Joyce lived in Port Angeles, Washington State.

On March 5, 1973, Joyce obtained a divorce from Albert.
