John Thomas Little was a wholesale grocer and commission agent, sometimes with his brother, George Little. John lived at 2060 Comox Street in 1912 and 1913.

John Thomas Little was born in Dunkalk, Ontario, on February 24, 1875. His father was John Little. His mother was Anne Elizabeth Marshall.

By about 1900, there was a J.T. Little living in Vancouver and working for Walter Boult’s music dealership. It is not certain that this is the same Mr. Little.

On July 29, 1908, in Vancouver, John married Jennie Bell Harrison. She was born on June 21, 1887, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her father was John Joseph Harrison (1855-1909). Her mother was Mary Jane Davidson (1853-1935).

John was a supporter of the Vancouver Exhibition Association.

John and Jennie lived in Vancouver until about 1923. They moved to California. It appears that they were divorced sometime in the 1920s.

In 1930, John was in Los Angeles, working as a life insurance agent.

In 1930, Jennie and her son, John, were in Crescent City, California.

On December 1, 1936, in Los Angeles, John married Ethel Thomas, who was also divorced. She was born Ethel Bell in Iowa about 1893. Her father was Bonson C. Bell. Her mother was Lillie M. Hayes. (Ethel’s first husband was Henry Ralph Thomas.) (One source refers to John having a wife named Bertha McKelvy (or McKelvie). There is no further information available for this person.)

By 1940, John was probably in Fresno, California, working as a real estate salesman.

John died in Fresno on July 1, 1954. It is not clear what happened to Ethel.

Jennie moved back to Canada. She died in Burnaby, British Columbia, on July 27, 1966. She was buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Burnaby.

John and Jennie had a son.

John Osborne Stayner Little

John Osborne Stayner Little was born in Vancouver on June 9, 1909.

He moved with his family to California in the early 1920s. In 1930, he was living in Crescent City, California with his mother.

He married Violet Opal Harvey, possibly on December 26, 1933, in Crescent City. Violet was born on October 3, 1913, in Modesto, California. Her parents were Grover Cleveland Harvey and Dolly Myrtle Stewart.

In 1938, the family moved to British Columbia.

John died in Valemount, British Columbia, on March 22, 1970. He was buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Violet died in Saanichton, British Columbia, on March 17, 1998.
