Henderson’s Greater Vancouver City Directory, 1914, Part 2, page 1263

Emma Suffield lived at 2042 Beach Avenue in 1914 and 1915.

Although it is not certain, it appears that she was Emily Annie Suffield.

Emily Annie Suffield was born in England, probably in Yorkshire, on July 15, 1860. Her father was Thomas Suffield. Her mother was Emma de la Pole.

In September 1909, Emma Suffield sailed from England to Canada. She arrived in Quebec City, and she was travelling to Vernon, British Columbia.

On April 22, 1912, in Vancouver, Emma was a witness at the marriage of her sister, Leda de la Pole Suffield. Leda married Norman Lawson Bell, who was a blacksmith. Emma stated that her residence was in Vernon.

“Emma” Suffield lived at 2042 Beach Avenue in 1914 and 1915.

It appears that she later lived in Vernon. She did not marry.

She died in Vernon on November 17, 1931. She was buried in Vernon Cemetery.
