She was born in January 1861, at Jersey, in the Channel Islands.
Her father was Edward Gardiner, who was born in France; her mother was Emma Pleece, who was born in England.
Alice was married to a Mr. Byers, who died before 1911.
In 1920, Alice was living at 1016 Alberni Street.
She died in Vancouver on August 5, 1920. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.

Frederick Henry Byers
Frederick Henry (“Harry”) Byers was born in England in November 10, 1877. From 1911 to 1913, he was a bookkeeper for Matter and Noble, who were finance and insurance agents.
It appears that Harry married Nellie, who was born in England in July 1887. She was a law firm stenographer in 1912 and 1913. Her mother was Mrs. E. Davey, of 253 Barking Road, Plaistow, London, England, in 1916.
In 1920 and 1930, Harry was living in Seattle, Washington.
