Arthur Alexander was a lawyer. He lived at 875 Chilco Street in 1915 and 1916. He was at 885 Chilco Street from 1920 to 1927.

He was born in Liverpool, England, on March 9, 1884. His father was Frederick Charles Alexander (born about 1850 in Scotland), who was a divisional officer for the British Inland Revenue service. His mother was Ellen Esther Popley (born December quarter 1856, Lymington district, Hampshire). Frederick and Ellen were married in December quarter 1880 in Kingston district, Surrey.

Arthur graduated from Edinburgh University.

On June 2, 1915, in Vancouver, Arthur married Mabel McGillvray Fraser. She was born in Brandon, Manitoba on March 27, 1891. Her father was George Valentine Fraser; her mother was Annie Marie Wastie.

Arthur served with the Royal Navy in the First World War. He was counsel for the commission of inquiry to deal with ships taken over by the Canadian Navy for service on the Pacific coast. He was also the president of the Vancouver Bar Association.

For several years, he was in a law firm with Frederick William Tiffin (1873-1947); later, he was in partnership with George Lovat Fraser, who was also his brother-in-law.

Arthur died in Vancouver on October 17, 1942.

Mabel died in Vancouver on November 4, 1948.

Arthur and Mabel had three children.

Jean McGillvray Alexander

Jean McGillvray Alexander married William Fitz-Walter Foster. He was born in Revelstoke, British Columbia on October 25, 1909. He was the son of William Wasbrough Foster (1876-1954) and Olive Stewart (1886-1981).

William Fitz-Walter Foster died in Vancouver on April 5, 1990. Jean survived him.

Joan Alexander

Joan Alexander was unmarried in 1942 and 1945.

Ian Alexander (1922-?)

Ian Alexander was probably born on June 9, 1922. He was unmarried in 1942 and 1945.
