Buckley, Benjamin (1859-1930)

Benjamin Buckley was a watchman for the British Columbia Lumber Corporation. He lived at 1844 Georgia Street in 1915.

 

Early Life

Benjamin Buckley was born in New York State about November 1859. His parents were John Read Buckley (1822-1909) and Abigail Ridley.

On October 7, 1885, in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa, Benjamin married Mary Booner Brown. Her parents were James William Brown and Hannah Amanda Gregg.

 

To Washington State

By 1900, Benjamin was living in Washington State, and he was working as a farmer.

In 1910, he was in West Cheney, Washington.

 

Brief Time in Vancouver

In 1912, when Neva Buckley was married to Edward Inch, Benjamin Buckley was at 1703 Georgia Street in Vancouver.

He lived at other addresses in the West End, including 1844 Georgia Street in 1915.

 

Later Life

Mary died between on April 5, 1917, in Douglas County, Washington. She was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Cheney, Washington.

In 1920, Benjamin was living in Mold, Washington.

By 1930, he had moved to Wenatchee, Washington. He died in Wenatchee on October 26, 1930. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery in Cheney, Washington

Benjamin and Mary had the following children.

 

 

Blanche Amanda Luella Buckley

Blanche A. Luella Buckley was born in Bear Grove, Iowa on October 10, 1886.

She married Mr. Pence. She died on September 22, 1952, in Cheney, Washington.

 

Claude Clarence Buckley

Claude Clarence Buckley was born in on September 4, 1888, in Cass County, Iowa. Some time before 1918, he married Dora E. Sparks. She was born about on March 1, 1897, probably in Arkansas.

In 1920, Claude and Dora were living in Mold, Washington.

By 1940, Claude and Dora were living in Covington Election Precinct in King County, Washington.

Claude died on May 6, 1970, in Auburn, Washington. He was buried in Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, Washington.

Dora died on August 9, 1986, in King County, Washington. She was buried in Hillcrest Burial Park in Kent, Washington.

 

Neva Leona Buckley

Neva Leona Buckley was born in May 1892 in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa. On August 15, 1912, in Vancouver, she married Edward Spencer Inch, who was a machinist. He was born about 1885 in Keswick, New Brunswick. His parents were William Spencer Inch and Agnes Jane Parent.

Edward died on June 9, 1972, at Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was buried in Kane Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.

Neva died on April 10, 1970 in Bainbridge Island. She was buried in Kane Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.

 

Mary Etta Buckley

Mary Etta Buckley was born in June 1894 in Cass County, Iowa. On September 22, 1913, in Vancouver, she married Ernest Tipper. He was born about 1888 in England. His parents were James Ernest Tipper and Jessie Brown.

Ernest died of self-induced carbolic acid poisoning in Vancouver on October 15, 1917. He was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.

On June 10, 1921, in Los Angeles, California, Mary married Will C. Morse. He was born about 1999. His parents were C.C. Morse and Ivie Beeler.

 

Lewis Edward Buckley

Lewis Edward Buckley was born in Atlantic, Cass County, Iowa, on December 27, 1896. In 1917, he registered with the United States military. He was living in St. Andrews, Washington, and was married to Verna Simons Buckley.

It appears that Lewis died in Oregon in November 1964.
