William Cady Moore was born in Baldwinsville, New York on April 12, 1877.

He was married to Ella Josephine Moore. She was born in Nova Scotia on March 11, about 1871. Ella’s father was John Kane. (Some sources say that Ella’s surname was Conners or Kinnear.) Ella’s mother was Mary Moray.

William’s and Ella’s marriage ended by 1910. On November 21, 1910, in Vancouver, Ella married Ralph Johnstone Wilson, who worked for the Vancouver World newspaper. William went to live in the United States.

On March 30, 1913, William married Edna Bresee, who was from Wonewoc, Wisconsin.

William worked as a telegraph operator and he later became a supervisor of inter-communication operations for the Federal Reserve Banks. He retired in 1935.

In 1942, he began working as a doorman at the Warner Brothers theatre in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
