From 1940 to 1954, the family of Job D. Helliar lived in the house. They also rented rooms to a series of tenants.

The house continued as a rental house until the late 1950s.

It was demolished to make way for the Eagle Crest apartments, 1949 Comox Street, which appeared in 1963.
