Linton, Walter Inglis (1877-1939)

Walter Inglis Linton was a commercial traveller, who worked mostly for distillery companies. He lived at 1859 Pendrell Street in 1907 and 1908.

Walter was born in Galt, Ontario, on July 17, 1877. His father was Walter Linton; his mother was Ellen Green.

In early 1903, Walter was working for Kelly, Douglas and Co.

On October 31, 1903, in Vancouver, Walter married Isabel Lockerby Rae. She was born on November 23, 1881, in Ontario. Her father was Matthew Rae (1849-1913); her mother was Mary McLean (1857-1921). Matthew and Mary both died in Vancouver; they were buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.

In 1927, Walter and Isabel went to England; on their return to North America they sailed on the Homeric to New York City.

On September 24, 1935, Walter and Isabel were divorced.

On February 2, 1939, Walter died in Vancouver. He was buried in Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, British Columbia.

Isabel died in Vancouver on March 16, 1972. She was buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver.
