William Eden Kingston was the chief clerk in the general superintendent’s office in the Vancouver office of the Canadian Pacific Railway. He lived at 2046 Pendrell Street from 1911 to 1913.

William Eden Kingston was born in Mount Forest, Ontario, on May 1, 1884. His parents were William Hall Kingston (1850-1928), an Ontario lawyer, and Kate Ophelia Huycke (1851-1896).

In 1902, William began working with the Canadian Pacific Railway in Winnipeg. In 1907, he briefly became the chief clerk to the general superintendent at Calgary, and then he was the chief clerk in the general manager’s office at Winnipeg.

William first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1910. He was living at 842 Burrard Street.

On February 15, 1911, in Vancouver, William married Daisy Gertrude Fisher. She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 21, 1882. Her parents were John Fisher and Mary Noble.

William continued to work for the Canadian Pacific Railway in Vancouver until about 1918.

In 1919, he became an assistant superintendent for the railway; he served in several locations, including Winnipeg.

In 1929, he became the superintendent of the Portage division.

Until about 1949 he was the division superintendent of the Canadian Pacific Railway in Brandon, Manitoba.

After William retired, he and Daisy moved to Vancouver. By 1950 they were living at 3093 West 27th Avenue in Vancouver.

Daisy died in Vancouver on March 26, 1960.

William died in Vancouver on May 29, 1967.

Constance Mary Kingston (often called “Mary”) was born in Vancouver on December 24, 1915.

On August 13, 1943, in Brandon, Manitoba, Mary married Alan Frank Offer, who was a second lieutenant in the Canadian Army.

Alan was born on March 27, 1908, in Birmingham, England. His parents were Frank Meredith Offer and Florence Knowles.

Beverly Catherine Kingston

Beverly Catherine Kingston was born about 1921.

She married James Richmond Telford. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on November 30, 1926. His parents were James Wilbur Telford and Dorcas Lillian Richmond.

In 1967, James and Beverly were living in Edmonton, Alberta.

They later moved to Sidney, British Columbia, where James operated Stevenson’s Chocolate and Candy Limited.

James died in Victoria, British Columbia, on July 5, 1971.
