Henriette Buck – American Women – Fifteen Hundred Biographies – New York – Mast, Crowell and Kirkpatrick (revised edition, 1897) – page 133.

I added a new page on Madame Henriette Buck. She was a teacher, writer and mezzo-soprano singer who lived at 746 Gilford Street in 1906. She was the widow of Walter Edgar Buck (1864-1902), who was a singer, music teacher, and director of musical productions.

Note: May 31, 2019: I updated the page on Henriette Buck. I included information on her parents and her later life, including her death in 1911.

John Ernest Finlayson (1854-after 1908)

I added a new page on John Ernest Finlayson. He was a piano tuner. He appears to have lived at 1932 Alberni Street sometime before 1909, since he was under that address in the 1909 Revision of Register of Voters.

However, there may be some confusion with Gilbert Hunter Finlay, who had a similar last name and who was at 1932 Alberni Street from about 1901 to 1904.

Wilfrid Francis Brougham (1864-1938)

I added a page on Wilfrid Francis Brougham, who was a lawyer, musician, and sports enthusiast. He lived at 1967 Barclay Street in 1903 and 2067 Pendrell Street from 1904 to 1909. He was also at 2067 Pendrell Street from 1924 to 1928. His wife was a talented opera singer.
