I updated the page on Francis Henry Burnett (called Frank Burnett, Senior), who worked in salmon canning, insurance and real estate. He was also a traveller, explorer and writer.

He lived at 1846 Haro Street from 1903 to 1907, and possibly in 1909.

His son, Frank Burnett (Junior), lived at 1877 Comox Street from 1911 to 1913.

I added illustrations and biographical references for him and members of his family.

William Hobart Billings (1877-1933)

I updated the page on William (“Bill”) Hobart Billings. He was an insurance agent who worked with H. Bell-Irving & Company Ltd.

He lived at 1851 Comox Street from 1902 to 1904, at 1860 Nelson Street from 1905 to 1906, and at 1017 Denman Street from 1907 to 1916.

I added information on his second marriage, along with brief biographies of his children.

 

 

 

James Nicholson Pike (1859-1908)

I updated the page on James Nicholson Pike. He was an insurance agent who lived at 1214 Denman Street in 1908. His widow, Anna Pike, was at 1214 Denman Street in 1909.

I added illustrations and information on Anna Pike’s later marriage to Herbert Tane (who was also known as Frederick Shields).
