1432 Haro Street

“Pavenham Villa,” 1432 Haro Street, Vancouver, British Columbia; postcard, private collection [includes portion of 1416 Haro Street on left]. Thomas Samuel Smith lived at 1432 Haro Street from 1907 to 1909. He was born in Pavenham, which is a small village about 6 miles (10 km) north-west of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England.

I added a new page on 1432 Haro Street, which is on the south side of Haro Street, about midway between Broughton Street and Nicola Street.

I updated the page on 1913 Beach Avenue, which was one of four similar houses on the north side of Beach Avenue, just west of Gilford Street. They first appeared in the Vancouver directories in 1903.

I added a reference to a 1920 building permit for repairs to the property.
